How to dress like a Rockstar

Rockstar gf, a popular term for a badass woman with a wicked sense of style. Of course, I just prefer the term “rockstar”. Why limit yourself to the girlfriend? Be the rocker yourself!

You wanna dress like a rockstar? I’ve got you. This just happens to be one of my favorite styles.

There are lots of different eras of the “rockstar” vibe. 70’s glam rock, 80’s hair metal, 90’s grunge. I tend to bounce back and forth between the aesthetics depending on my mood.

An 80’s band vibe- tiger striped bikini top, leather pants, a big belt and platform boots. The guitar is a fun addition. (And you can’t forget the voluminous hair.)

Adding jewelry is always a plus. You can easily build a cool outfit just by incorporating simple accessories. For example;

I got this guitar pick necklace off of Etsy for around $15, and it quickly became my favorite accessory. Its small but super cute and really pulls the outfit together. The Etsy shop I got it from is called TheSaltySandDollarCo, although it looks like they no longer sell the necklaces. Shout out to them though!

These guitar earrings are also so cute! I haven’t had the chance to wear them out yet… I definitely should now.

I got these at a convention booth!

Hmm… what’s another staple piece of a rockstar outfit… oh yeah. LEATHER JACKETS. If you know me you know that those are my favorite things on Earth… I have, like, 12. My closet is packed full. Oops.

Another idea is a jacket you customize yourself. Get a denim jacket, find some patches of your favorite bands, and go to town.

Favorite jacket. I wear it whenever I can!

Always add some platform boots…

As you can see, there’s plenty of different ideas for rockstar outfits. It all comes down to each staple piece, and ATTITIUDE. Act like a rocker, be a rocker. Be bold, be confident, and maybe learn guitar. Thanks for reading! I’ll always be here for your fashion needs.

Live bravely,

Kat.
